About Boyce Thompson Arboretum

At Boyce Thompson Arboretum State Park you will discover a 392-acre Oasis in Arizona, with nearly three miles of paths and trails winding through colorful and beautiful gardens, woodlands, along native riparian habitat.
The family will get to enjoy seeing plants from arid land regions around the planet alongside native Sonoran Desert plants. Breath fresh air as you walk through short trails that lead through Sonoran and Chihuahuan desert areas, a cactus garden, an Australian forest, and herb and rose gardens. More than 270 birds and 72 terrestrial species
have been seen in the area, so you might have the chance to see them yourself!
Boyce Thompson Arboretum is Arizona’s oldest and largest botanical garden and it was founded in 1924
