The New School of Music is a community music school located in Cambridge for adults and children of all ages and levels.
NSM offers programs in a non-competitive, student centered learning environment from professional musicians with a passion for teaching.
Families will find private and group lessons, master classes, vacation programs, seasonal family events, and faculty and community concerts.
The Early Childhood program at the New School of Music is designed to provide the youngest students with a fun and developmentally appropriate introduction to music instruction. Each of these classes focuses on the building blocks of music and child development, using movement, ear training, simple instruments, and creative play.
Every class will provide a solid foundation of musical skills, and will help prepare children for whatever path they follow, be it group instrument classes, our choral program, or private lessons. Options include Musical Playdates for ages 1-3 with a caregiver, and Piano Playdates for ages 3-4.
The School also offers Suzuki method Private Lessons & Group Class.
