Have a Colorado Adventure
Colorado’s landscape is a natural wonderland! Visitors from all over the world travel here to check out the majestic Rocky Mountains. Take advantage of living here on the Western Slope by taking a quick road trip up I-70 to some of these world class destinations.
Travel Tip: Denverites know traffic can be slow heading up to the mountains. Give yourself extra time or consider traveling mid-day or even mid-week to avoid long delays.

Not only does Denver Art Museum have world class exhibits, kids 18 and younger can enjoy FREE general admission every day.
From March 21 to April 5, check out special Spring Break activities in The Paint Studio and Create-n-Takes, gallery games and activities daily. Special performances of the family-friendly play, Art Emergency: Monet Edition at 11am weekdays from March 30 through April 3.
Offering exhibits to fit nearly any interest, Denver Museum of Nature & Science in City Park is the perfect destination for little ones with big curiosity.
Check out interactive exhibits on anatomy, dinosaurs, space and zoology as well as the Discovery Zone – a hands-on play area perfect for little explorers. Don’t miss the final weeks of The Science Behind Pixar, a special exhibition showing the science and technology behind some of your favorite Disney Pixar films. Located in an airplane hangar at the former Lowry Air Force Base, Wings Over the Rockies is an Air and Space Museum that will be sure to thrill your kids.
Check out real aircraft in this 182,000 square foot hangar like the F-104 Starfighter, F-14 Tomcat, Dream Chaser and a replica Star Wars X-Wing Starfighter. Your kids will also love the new special exhibit Drones: Is the Sky the Limit – open through May 3, 2020.

Take a Tour
Learn something new this Spring Break while taking a tour. Take the time to discover some of the City’s best kept secrets and discover some fun with your little ones.
Denver is home to one of four of the United States Mint Production Facilities – and is one of only two that provide free tours.
You can learn about the present state of coin manufacturing and the history of the Mint as well as crafstmanship and design of the coins. Tours are free but you must pick up tickets in person at the ticket window the day of the tour. Tours are offered six times per day, Monday through Thursday (excluding observed federal holidays). Please note, tours are restricted to adults and children 7 years and older only.
What kid wouldn’t love to tour a candy factory?
Take your sweetie to Hammond’s Candy in north Denver to see how Hammond’s hand crafts their delicious candies. Each tour ends with a free sample! Tours run every half hour on the half hour and last approximately 30 minutes. Reservations are required and can be booked online or by phone.
Get a behind the scenes look at one of the premier ballparks in Major League Baseball and home to the Colorado Rockies – Coors Field.
Tours are typically available Monday through Saturday and cost $12 for adults, $9 for children and seniors. A limited number of tickets are available for each tour and reservations are recommended. Reserve your spot by phone, online or in person at Coors Field or Rockies Dugout Stores.
Make a Splash
