The Denver Zoo is one of the top family-friendly attractions in all of Denver! Kids will love seeing the amazing variety of wildlife while learning about conservation efforts and what makes them unique. A day at the Denver Zoo for the full family can add up in price, but thankfully they offer a limited number of free days throughout the year.
Come visit your favorite animals and explore fascinating exhibits you won’t find anywhere else. Get up close and personal with tigers at “The Edge”, or see grizzly bears and learn about how to avoid them in the wild at “Harmony Hill”. From people of all ages, there is truly something for everyone at the Denver Zoo.
Of course, these days are some of the busiest of the year. Staff recommend that guests arrive early, carpool or use public transportation to get to the zoo.
If you plan to use public transportation, please note that RTD bus stops at the Zoo entrance for both east and westbound buses (Route 32) will be closed through early March for installation of a new traffic light, but per RTD the other stops along E. 23rd Avenue between Colorado Boulevard and York Street will remain open.
