A park is always a good idea when it comes to kids. They can channel their energy, get physical activity, use their imagination, make new friends and have lots of fun.
Here’s a list of 20 different parks to take your kid in Phoenix.

Encanto Park
Where: 2605 N. 15th Ave.

The perfect location for a picnic, you can even host events here!

But if you’re only looking to spend a nice, calm afternoon with the kids, you will find a fishing lagoon, a historic clubhouse and boathouse, and the Enchanted Island Amusement Park which is privately operated.

Falcon Park
Where: 3420 W. Roosevelt St.
Hours: 5:30am to 11pm

You can have nice picnics, and kids can enjoy the playground, play some basketball, volleyball and softball.

It also has restrooms and, if it’s too hot, you can go into the pool which is right next to the park.

Granada Park
Where: 6505 N 20th St, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

At Granada Park you can find a nice lagoon, home to many many ducks, and aside from the playground, you can play tennis and do many other things in the multi-purpose field.

There’s also a grill area, and you can enjoy the views of some art sculptures. Don’t forget to take some sandwiches and have a picnic by the pond!

Alkire Park
Where: 1602 W Pima St, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

From 5.30am to 10 pm, children can use the playground, ramadas, the lighted softball and basketball courts while adults can prepare the picnic or use the grill area!

Alkire Park offers restrooms too.

Deer Valley Park
Where: 19602 N 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 11pm

This park has it all! Lighted basketball, a picnic area, an exercise course, playground, courts for basketball, tennis and soccer, grills, restrooms and more!

You can even visit the community center.

El Prado Park
Where: 6428 S 19th Ave, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 11pm

From a nice playground, to a picnic area, this is the perfect park to spend a nice day. Your children can also play basketball, volleyball and softball!

Restrooms are available too, and you can also visit the pool facility!

Margaret T. Hence Park
Where: 67 W Culver St, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 6am to 10:30pm

You will find drinking fountains, grills, reservable ramadas, restrooms, a nice playground and so much more!

The Margaret T.Hence Park is also home to the Phoenix Center for the Arts, the Japanese Friendship Garden and many other places of interest in case you decide to visit! 

Holiday Park
Where: 4530 N 67th Ave, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

From 5.30am to 10pm, kids can enjoy the playground, the lighted sand volleyball or the lighted basketball, recreating buildings, and the whole family can have a picnic or get into the pool!

Sounds like a plan!

Kachina Park
Where:  4304 E Campbell Ave, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

Kids can spend a lovely day at Kachina Park’s playground and open play area.

The park also features a ramada and a picnic area for all the family to enjoy a nice day.

Roadrunner Park
Where: 3502 E Cactus Rd, Phoenix, AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 11pm

Is there a better way to spend a nice afternoon than having a picnic by the lake with the family?

After lunch, kids can play basketball, baseball, soccer or volleyball in the lighted sand court. Family can enjoy the grills while kids get in the pool!

Sunridge Park

Have a picnic day at Sunridge Park’s picnic area while the kids enjoy the playground or play some basketball!

Solano Park

Sonrisa Park

After or before you relax in the green grass, you can visit the Rosson House and take a tour of this Victorian home.

Hermoso Park

From 5.30am to 10pm you can enjoy a beautiful pool, ramadas and picnic area, a recreation building, a skate plaza and kids can play lots of sports in the lighted courts!

Hoshoni Park

Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

Children will love to play in the lighted sand volleyball court or play some basketball!

El Oso Park

El Oso Park offers a playground with two structures, artificial soccer courts, baseball fields, an archery range, drinking fountains, restrooms and so much more!

Explore it for yourself and you will have guaranteed fun! It opens at 5.30 in the morning and closes at 11 pm. so your kid will have lots of time to try all the games!

Eastlake Park
Where: 1540 E. Jefferson St., AZ
Hours: 5:30am to 10pm

Amphitheater, gymnasium, picnic area, grills, restrooms, dance studio, drinking fountains, a pool and so much more!
